Faculty Development

The Office of First-Year Experiences is dedicated to providing professional development opportunities and support in addition to grant funding.

Annual events include Winter Camp FYE, exclusively for FYE instructors at Virginia Tech, and the Summer Institute: Professional Development for Undergraduate Education, which teams up FYE with Pathways General Education and the HHMI Inclusive Excellence Peer Implementation Cluster.

In addition, the Office of First-Year Experiences also regularly teams up with the Center For Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) to co-present workshops for faculty.
