FYE supports students in their academic transition to Virginia Tech through providing grants and resources  - these courses introduce students to their chosen discipline/major, faculty in their major, and available resources on campus. Most majors at Tech offer a unique first-year experience (FYE) course that varies in style, pace, and major-related content, though all are connected by a central goal:  to introduce new students to their field of study and support the transition of new students to university life.
